SIZE — BEST FITS WOMEN’S MEDIUM

One-of-a-kind asymmetrical one-shoulder dress created from a colorful cotton paisley shawl. Featuring a bold mixture of rust, mint, coral, lavender, and navy, this piece has a flowing draped silhouette, a dramatic side opening, and the shawl’s original fringe along the uneven hem.

Three hand-sewn metal snap closures run along the side opening, allowing the wearer to adjust the height of the slit and the size of the armhole. Fasten all three for additional coverage, or leave one or more open to create a higher slit and a looser, more dramatic drape.

An additional metal snap is sewn beneath the opposite underarm. This snap can be fastened to secure the dress and provide additional coverage through the chest, which may be especially helpful for someone with a fuller bust.

Due to its asymmetrical construction, this piece does not fit like a traditionally structured dress. It is estimated to best fit a women’s Medium and someone approximately 5’7 or shorter for the intended dress length and coverage. Taller wearers may find it shorter or prefer to style it as a layering piece.

The cotton fabric provides more coverage than a sheer material; however, shorts, a bodysuit, or another underlayer are still recommended because of the adjustable high side opening.

IMPORTANT FIT AND MOVEMENT NOTE

Because the fabric drapes continuously over one arm and connects to the adjustable side opening, movement through the covered arm is limited. Raising that arm above shoulder height will lift the draping and cause the slit to rise, which may reveal more than intended.

Even with all of the snaps fastened, this piece is not designed for unrestricted overhead arm movement.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

For the best longevity of the cotton fabric, fringe, and hand-sewn snaps, gently hand wash separately in cold water with mild detergent. Carefully fasten the snaps before washing to help prevent snagging, and support the weight of the garment while it is wet.

Do not soak, scrub, wring, bleach, machine wash, or tumble dry. Gently press out excess water with a clean towel, reshape the dress, and hang it to dry.

When opening the snaps, hold and gently separate the metal hardware rather than pulling on the surrounding fabric.
